2026 California School Food Census

Are you a food service director or other SFA leader in California? Food Insight Group, in partnership with the California Department of Food and Agriculture and the Chef Ann Foundation, is currently running the 2026 School Food Census. Your participation in this online survey will help us learn about how California school districts operate food service programs, procure and prepare food, navigate staffing and funding, and engage in farm to school related activities. The survey is also part of the evaluation of the Healthy School Food Pathway, run by the Chef Ann Foundation. 

Your participation in this survey is voluntary. There are no direct benefits to you to participate in the survey. You may withdraw at any time or choose not to participate without any penalty.

As a thank you, each respondent will be offered the opportunity to participate in a drawing for one of 50 $100 virtual Visa gift cards.
